XNOR Gate

ModProject Red
TypeSolid block
Required modulesIntegration

The XNOR Gate is a redstone circuit added by Project Red. It is a logic gate for complex redstone circuits. It emits a redstone signal which depends on the number of incoming signals (see Usage).

The circuit is possible with vanilla redstone mechanics, but this block reduces the size of the circuit to 1 block. This makes complex circuits clearer and easier to control. In electronics, this gate enables the physical execution of the Boolean function "XNOR" (exclusive negated OR).

Project Red XNOR Gate with WAILA

A XNOR Gate from "Project Red" with input and output sides indicated by WAILA

For an easier in-game explanation, NEI and WAILA can be installed, both of which show the input and output on the XNOR Gate.

The XNOR Gate has two input sides and one output side for anything that can be controlled with redstone signals.

An output signal is emitted if both inputs receive or do not receive redstone signals. If only one input signal is present, no output signal is emitted.

The orientation of the gate can be changed freely in all four directions by using the Screwdriver.
