The Wrench is a basic tool added by IndustrialCraft 2, which can rotate and safely dismantle IC2 machines. In versions prior to 1.8, there is a 30% chance that a wrenched machine will break, dropping a Basic Machine Casing or Advanced Machine Casing as per the one used to craft the machine. Certain machines (including energy storage blocks such as the MFE, and the normal Generator) are guaranteed to drop themselves, but in order to avert any risk of breakage of other machines, it is necessary to use an Electric Wrench on lossless mode. In versions after and including 1.8, the wrench has a 100% chance to pick up any machine, but is still necessary to be used to pick up a machine if the forced wrench config is not set to false.
Recipe[]
Usage[]
Right-clicking on an IC2 machine will rotate the front face to the side clicked upon, which if it is already there, will cause the machine to be dismantled and dropped. For machines that do not have a front face, wrenching any side will result in them being dropped. Shift right-clicking will rotate the front face to the opposite side clicked upon, and the previously mentioned mechanics still apply. Alt right-clicking will cause the front face to rotate around the horizontal facings of the machine, or cause it to drop as if clicked normally if it does not have a front face.
Dismantling an energy storage block will retain 80% of the energy contained within (which can be changed in the config).
