The Wand Focus: Excavation is a Wand Focus added by Thaumcraft 5. Holding right-click with it equipped will spew magical energy that destroys blocks that are hit by it. This uses 1 Terra Vis per tick when used, however.

Enlarge does not appear to be useful or intended with an Excavation Focus that is not installed in an Arcane Bore as Enlarge II merely makes the focus additionally mine the block above, and the block to the right of, the targeted block.
