Wand Focus: Equal Trade is a wand focus added by Thaumcraft 4. It is used to switch out blocks in the world with blocks in the player's inventory. Shift right-clicking on a block with it equipped will attune the focus to the block, making it the substitute block. Left-clicking on another block will replace it with the substitute block. Right-clicking will transform an a 7x7 area of blocks that the player can see (the focus will not affect blocks behind those); replacement is considered breaking the original block and placing down the substitute block, so the block will be "broken" unless the focus is upgraded with Silk Touch. This range can be extended by modifying the focus using a Focal Manipulator. Each block transformed costs 0.05
+ 0.05
+0.05

Thaumonomicon entry[]
You must first choose the block you wish to change other blocks into by sneaking and right clicking on the desired block. When you then left-click on another block it will turn into the target block. Right clicking will transform a whole swathe of blocks.
You must be carrying enough target blocks, and the transformed blocks will replace them in your inventory. Only blocks with at least one face adjacent to open air or non-solid blocks will be transformed.
