Volcanos are world-generated structures added by Project Red they can occur in every overworld biome. The volcanoes may have different forms, from very shallow shield volcanoes up to very high stratovolcanoes. The volcanoes are made of basalt, and a magma column in the middle of the volcano, which extends from the base to the top of the volcano.
Config options[]
In the "ProjectRed.cfg" configuration file (in the "config" folder), the generation of Volcanos can be disabled, and the generation can be reduced by increasing the resistance value. Furtermore, the enabling of the retro generation allows to generate the Volcanos in an old world, which was started without Project Red.
