The Valve Pipe is a block from Flaxbeard's Steam Power. Its flow can be controlled by right clicking, and, if enabled in the config file, redstone to open or close the valve. When open, the valve will not appear rotated in relation to the rest of the pipe. When closed, the valve will appear at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the pipe. When closed, it will not allow steam to travel through it. When open, the opposite is true.

Applying a redstone signal to the Valve Pipe will change its state. Prior to 0.29.0, it would simply switch its current state. Starting in 0.29.0, applying a redstone signal will close it, and taking a signal away will open it.

History[]

Version history
Prerelease 15ADDITION: Valve Pipes (HL3 confirmed)
0.27.4FIX: (Gholuk) Fixed NPE with Valve Pipe (#174)
FIX: (allaryin) Server crash bug with Valve Pipe and Flash Boiler
0.28.4NEW: (Gholuk) Added config option for redstone support for the Valve Pipe (#69
0.29.0TWEAK: Valve Pipe redstone control is enabled by default now.
TWEAK: The Valve Pipe's redstone control is much more consistent now. When the signal is applied, it closes the pipe, and when it turns off, it opens the pipe. This change does not sacrifice the existing manual system (#263).
