Book type

The book type (Witchcraft: Herbology) is not working and I have no clue why. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 07:16, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Some templates need to be converted into Lua Infoboxes.

Thanks babe. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 05:39, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

  • None of these really work well as infoboxes since they're designed to be all alone on the page where they're used. Plus {{Bee}} and {{Comb}} have table sections that Module:Infobox can't do and which wouldn't fit in an infobox very well anyway. Kythyria (talk) 02:00, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

The da Vinci barnstar for you for your countless work towards modules :O YEY!

Lua stuffs

Please add the tooltip formatting of Module:Grid to {{S}}. Kthx πŸ‡Retep998πŸ‡πŸ°Bunny Overlord🐰 09:28, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

hU and kU

Can you add hU and kU units to Module:infobox/thing? They'd be just like how EU is added there. Thanks! I would of added it myself, but editing lua stuff makes me tense :P -Xbony2 (talk) 12:18, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

Navbox issues I am finding

  • Links don't appear as bold and unclickable when you are on that page
  • Nested lists just fuck up a lot, please look at the Witchery Navbox, specifically the World section, to see some of nested lists fuck ups.

-- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 02:37, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

First issue has nothing to do with module navboxes. Rather it is due to the lazy navbox system. Since the navbox is built on a separate page, it doesn't know which page it is being included on so it can set that page to bold and unclickable. The way to fix that would be adding a bit of JS that runs after loading the navbox lazily to find any links to the current page and do it to them. πŸ‡Retep998πŸ‡πŸ°Bunny Overlord🐰 10:44, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
oh okay. Do you think you could do that? I don't know fuck about js -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 15:36, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
Second issue can happen if you mix lists and non-lists in the same list. Don't do that and you'll be fine. -- Kythyria (talk) 05:03, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
that isn't a solution or a user error. That is basic, standard functionality of navboxes that should be supported. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 18:06, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
That's what line{} is for (so "non-list" is slightly the wrong term). list{list{}, "beep", list{}} is invalid, list{list{}, line{"beep"}, list{}} is the correct way. Edit: list{"Foo", list{}, "Bar"} is also illegal; if it wasn't you'd probably get a parenthesised sublist. -- Kythyria (talk) 17:08, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

I converted Module:Infobox/mod from {{Infobox mod}} and {{Infobox mod/doc}}. There's one problem though, which I may need help with. The mod infobox does something funny with the URL parameter: basically it does [{{{url}}} Link], and I'm not sure how to put this into lua form. -Xbony2 (talk) 23:01, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

New forceshownum parameter needed in Grid

Grid needs a forceshownum parameter which will forcibly show the number provided in args[2], but only if that number is 1 (because any other number it will show automatically). forceshownum being absent or false or whatever should not change anything anywhere unless the number is 1, in which case it will not show the number. I tried taking a stab at this but could not get it to work exactly how I desired. You can view some deleted revisions of Module:Sandbox if you'd like :P -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 03:48, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Something like this? Chocohead Nagβ€’ Editsβ€’ Staff 17:31, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

It seems errBadRow is never defined in Module:Infobox/strings, making debugging this kind of error difficult. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 10:57, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Fixed. I'd defined errBadSection twice (oops). Kythyria (talk) 18:46, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Multiblock thing

Retep998 pinged you about this last night, but you should work on a Lua version of User:Chocohead/Sandbox/Template:Multiblock, with infinitely modular amounts of rows, columns, and layers, if possible. :) -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 20:58, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

That's what I was planning, hence the comment right at the bottom of the template about the expandable logic. Chocohead Nagβ€’ Editsβ€’ Staff 22:22, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
TheSatanicSanta There you go: Module:Multiblock -> User:Chocohead/Sandbox/Module:Multiblock/Test Chocohead Nagβ€’ Editsβ€’ Staff 22:07, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
Am I doing something wrong here? "Lua error in Module:Multiblock at line 77: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value)." with {{Cg/Multiblock}} on User:TheSatanicSanta/Sandbox. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 23:11, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
If you pass unnecessary but none the less valid parameters (like AA2 or AB3, both are valid but physically impossible to ever be used), it will end up throwing an error as it can't find the value it should offset them on the page by. I'll write the doc-page on it and the format should become slightly clearer, especially which parameters go to which square. EDIT: Done. Chocohead Nagβ€’ Editsβ€’ Staff 23:26, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

SC Infobox

Hey, can you look at {{Infobox Steve's Carts/test}}? It should be able to replace {{Infobox Steve's Carts}}, but it has a few limitations due to lua. -Xbony2 (talk) 13:52, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Navbox list wrapping

Take a look at Navbox Witchery, which uses Lua, and Navbox JABBA, which does not. Notice how the line-wrapping is much different between these two. The Lua navboxes should use the same wrapping style that the WikiText navboxes use. It's much easier to read them that way. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 23:25, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Done, I think β€”Kythyria (talk) 07:15, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Yup, looks good. Thanks. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 19:06, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Multiblock script error

We are currently getting a script error in {{Cg/Multiblock}} "No such module Multiblock". Can you investigate? -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 19:22, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

I'm adamant it's the fact it's translated that's breaking it somehow (like the fact template that calls it isn't translated or something silly like that), as the Lua itself is valid. Chocohead Nagβ€’ Editsβ€’ Staff 19:24, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

FSP infobox

I have a request. Can you convert {{Infobox Flaxbeard's Steam Power}} to a module, and make the journal/entryname numbers dynamic? If you need a cap, there probably won't be a page with more than 20 entries. -- SatanicSantaFTB Wiki Admin 01:39, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
