Translocators is a mod by ChickenBones based around item transport. It was made for and took first prize of the ModJam 1 competition, in which mod authors had 36 hours to create a mod. Translocators allows for the quick transfer of items and liquids between nearby inventories. The blocks are heavily configurable, controllable, and feels true to vanilla Minecraft.
It also adds a quick crafting grid that can be placed on any block by pressing the C key (by default). The crafting grid will stay on the surface for 120 seconds, or 2 minutes since it was last used. Using items on the grid will add or remove them from it. Using the C key again will craft the items.
