The Transformer is a block added by Immersive Engineering. It is used to safely connect low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) power systems.
Using a LV or MV Wire Coil on either of a Transformer's terminals and then on another wiring block hooks up one end of the system. The Transformer switches its left and right terminals to match whatever voltage wire the engineer was holding.
HV Wire Coils cannot be used on this equipment. For transforming between medium voltage and high voltage, the engineer would need an HV Transformer instead.
The Transformer fits neatly on a Wooden Post for aesthetic purposes.
