The Thaumonomicon is a book added by Thaumcraft 6. It serves as the in-game documentation about topics and items from the mod.

A newly created Thaumonomicon
The Thaumonomicon is created by right-clicking a bookshelf with Salis Mundus. This will consume both the bookshelf and the Salius Mundus.
The Strange Dreams book must be obtained first, but it is not used in the creation of the Thaumonomicon.
Usage[]
The Thaumonomicon can be opened by right-clicking in hand. When first created, only a handful of "entries" exist; each entry contains information on the particular topic listed. Further entries must be researched, which also can allow new blocks and items to created.

Right-clicking an entry will open it and pressing the ESC key will close it. The player can move through the Thaumonomicon by dragging their mouse. The Thaumonomicon can be zoomed in or out via scrolling. A search function is located the bottom left of the GUI.
Thaumcraft 6 has seven research categories displayed as "tabs" on the left by default: Fundamentals, Auromancy, Alchemy, Artifice, Arcane Infusion, Golemancy, and "Eldritch," though the last tab requires Crimson Rites to be used in the Crimson Rites topic for it to be revealed. Often, addons such as Thaumic Tinkerer add additional tabs on the right.
