The Thaumonomicon is a book added by the mod Thaumcraft 4. It is used to record and explain all research.
The Thaumonomicon will display a UI that shows the tech tree and several tabs. When an item on the tech tree is clicked, it will describe the item's creation and usage. Most tech tree items will be locked and will need to be researched. When Thaumcraft addons which add more research topics are installed new tabs will be added to the Thaumonomicon. Researched topics are tied to players and not the book; in other words, giving a Thaumonomicon to another player will not give them topics researched.
To obtain one, right-click a Bookshelf with any wand. This does not cost vis.
