Jinbobo still influences our every move

Jinbobo tried to "fix" this template in 2013 but instead made it worse. The problem is, no one realized there was a problem because nodoc and baddoc are seldom used. Basically, if parameter 1 is set and the page is not transcluded from a /doc page, it should add a div that clears floating elements and a width of 1em. If nodoc or baddoc are set and the page is not transcluded from a /doc page, it should add a category relating to that property for easily finding problematic template documentation. When Jinbobo attempted to fix this, he instead made the #if parser function ALWAYS run (unless the page is named doc/somethinguselesshere) and therefore have unintended side effects. I fixed the issues present, cleaned up the template, and ALSO made it possible to translate this page so it doesn't always say Documentation at the top for other languages. See User:SizableShrimp/Template:Doc/Start for more info. I suggest this be copied over to this template as I have tested it and confirmed it works. This way we can translate the Documentation title, and the messages when nodoc or baddoc are set. For this to work, {{L}} will have to be appended to {{Doc/Start}} in all template docs that are marked for translation, ex. {{Doc/Start{{L}}}}. --SizableShrimp🦐 (talk Â· contribs) 05:25, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

if you think it works then just go for it -Xbony2 (talk) 04:19, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
okay updated it. -Xbony2 (talk) 04:32, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, yeah it had cascading protection from Template:P and Template:Navbox. I will now run a script to find all transclusions of Doc/Start and update them to add {{L}} (maybe). I don't think it would harm anything, I'll be using jwiki. --SizableShrimp🦐 (talk Â· contribs) 04:38, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
