The Tank, previously called the Sheetmetal Tank, is a 3x3x5 multi-block added by Immersive Engineering, used for storing liquids.
Construction[]
The Sheetmetal Tank is fairly simple to make. The first layer contains one Iron Sheetmetal, with a Treated Wood Fence in each diagonal. The next three layers contain a 3x3 doughnut shaped Iron Sheetmetal platform, topped by the fifth and final layer, a 3x3 solid layer of Iron Sheetmetal.
This uses 4 Treated Wood Fences and 34 Iron Sheetmetal total.
After it is fully arranged, the player must right-click the Iron Sheetmetal at the bottom center of any side (not the sheetmetal on the fence layer) with an Engineer's Hammer, then the multi-block is complete.
Usage[]
The Tank will store 512,000 mB (512 Buckets). Liquids can be piped into the top or bottom blocks. For liquid to be removed a redstone signal is required, additionally, a Fluid Pump (Immersive Engineering) can be used to speed up the output.
The Tank will visually show the liquid being stored and its amount on each side of it.
Comparator usage[]
The Tank has integration with the Redstone Comparator. When next to the input block, the Redstone Comparator will emit a signal proportional to how full the Tank is. For example, a full tank will yield a full 15 signal strength from the Redstone Comparator.
Trivia[]
- In WAILA, the Tank is just called "Fluid Tank".
