Taint Poison is a status effect added by Thaumcraft 4. It functions similarly to Poison by damaging players though usually for a shorter duration of time (usually about 3 seconds). It is acquired by staying too long in a Tainted Lands biome or a Tainted Goo or Taint Tendril dissolving in the player's inventory.
