The Stone Kinesis Pipe is a type of Kinesis Pipes added by BuildCraft for energy transmission with a maximum of 160 RF/t. Thus it has a higher transmission rate than the Cobblestone Kinesis Pipe, but for that the crafting is little more complicated. To input energy in the pipe it has been extracted by a Wooden Kinesis Pipe from an engine. If the maximum input is reached, any more will make the energy "wire" inside the pipe to turn red indicating a bottleneck which will only allow the amount of energy the pipe can handle.
In BuildCraft 6.1.1 and below the Stone Kinesis Pipe has the same function as energy transport pipe, but was used to transport Minecraft Joules (MJ),
which has been replaced in BuildCraft 6.1.2 by Redstone Flux. Below this version it has a maximum transmission of 16 MJ and the same recipe as now. The Stone Kinesis Pipe loses 5% MJ per pipe, making it highly inefficient compared to Gold Kinesis Pipes 0.5% energy loss.
Below BuildCraft 3.70
Max MJ traversing on Kinesis Pipes was technically 9,999 MJ/t, because upon reaching 10,000 MJ stored, the pipes would explode. It was very hard to reach this limit, though. The Stone Kinesis Pipe do not explode in v.3.70+, they simply turn red, and form a bottleneck.
