The Steam Mining Drill is a tool added by Modern Industrialization. It's function as a pickaxe using Water and fuel instead of standard durability. It could mine a square of 3x3 blocks and has a Silk Touch mode, make it an early game way to duplicate ores.

Usage[]

In order to use the Steam Mining Drill it's required to click on following or still water, one click will fill the buffer of water. After, it's needed to provide fuel to power the tool by right clicking with the Steam Mining Drill hovering the desired fuel.

By default 3x3 mining and Silk Touch are enabled. To disable 3x3 mining you have to sneak with your Mining Drill in Hand. To disable the Silk Touch Mode you have to sneak + right click.

1% of water is consumed each 2 second while fuel is burning. Fuel burning time depends of the type of block. To calculate the burning time in the Steam Mining Drill use the formula $BurningTime=NumberItemSmelt\times 2$
