The Sound Muffler is a block added by Extra Utilities that will reduce the volume of sound in an 8 block radius of it. It will reduce the sound significantly, about 80-90%. This is very useful for animal farms.
Note: This block was disabled in 1.7.2 due to changes in Minecraft's sound system. It has been re-added in the versions for 1.7.10.
