Slow Fall is an enchantment added by Thaumic Tinkerer. It can only be applied to footwear via the Osmotic Enchanter. When falling, the player's descent slows to a velocity that negates fall damage. The enchantment can be increased up to a maximum of Level 3, with each rank decreasing the velocity at which the player falls. Sneaking while following will cause the player to fall normally as if they did not have the enchantment.

You have formulated an enchantment that allows you to fall slowly.
This enchantment can be applied on foot armor. When done so, the wearer will fall at a slower rate, this will also reduce, if not negating the fall damage.
Pressing Shift will temporarily disable this effect allowing you to fall normally.
