The Sifter is a processing machine added by GregTech 6. It obtains dust and various grades of gems from washed ores. It is also used in place of the Crusher to obtain crushed ores from Sand and Gravel ores, Magnetite dust from Black Sand.
The Sifter is powered by kinetic energy, or KU provided by a steam engine or electric engine. For a sifter powered directly by electricity, see Electric Sifter.
