The Scarecrow is a block from the Witchery mod. The Scarecrow is a fetish object, which means it can be bound to have supernatural powers. In other words, it can have summoned spectral creatures become trapped inside the Scarecrow. The book, Witchcraft: Conjuration & Fetishes explains all of the different fetishes and effects. Fetish objects have different modes once they become bound, which can be toggled with a Boline. The different modes include Deactivated, Activate if a player is nearby whose taglocks are unknown, Activate if a player is nearby whose taglocks are known, Activate if a creature is nearby whose taglocks are known, Activate when some known creatures are nearby, Activate when all known creatures are nearby, and Activate when all known creatures are not nearby. Using a bound Taglock Kit on the fetish object will make that being known to the object. Using a Water Bucket on a fetish object will clear known Taglock Kits. A dye can be used on the Scarecrow to change its robe color.
