The Routed Interface pipe is a pipe added by Project Red. It functions as a connection for Chests and devices with inventories to a pipe network. It can be equipped with different chips depending on its intended use (see Usage).
If the mod MineChem is installed, the Routed Interface pipe can be decomposed with the Chemical Decomposer into specific chemical compounds of MineChem.

Usage[]
The Routed Interface pipe connects with all other pipes from Project Red along with Chests and machines. If more than one chest or machine is next to the pipe only one of them will be actively connected to the pipe (shown in picture 1). The active chest or machine can be changed by shift right-clicking the pipe with a Screwdriver.
Right-clicking on the pipe will open its GUI which allows various chips to be integrated, depending on usage:
- If Chests are to be integrated to a storage system, the player must connect all chests with this pipe to the pipe system and add an Item Responder chip or a Dynamic Item Responder chip to the Routed Interface Pipe.
- If the player is using a Routed Request pipe in order to request items from the storage area, the player must add an Item Broadcaster chip in the Routed Interface Pipe.
An example is shown in picture 2, where all chests in the storage area 3 are connected with Routed Interface Pipes to the pipe system. In this example these pipes containing Item Broadcaster chips communicate with the Routed Request pipe in area 1 and Item Responder chips, thereby allowing items from the pipe system can be stored in Chests.
