Roots 2 is a mod created by elucent, Alexismachina, ShadowGamerXY and werty1125 but is currently maintained by Mystic Horizons, as an overhaul of the original mod, Roots. It is described as a "simple magic mod"[citation needed], being smaller than other magic mods such as Blood Magic and Thaumcraft 5. All of its features are documented in a collection of in-game manuals.
