The Red Matter Shears is a tool from Equivalent Exchange 2. It is used to shear sheep, and obtain blocks that require shears or silk touch to obtain. The Dark Matter Shears does not have a durability.
Once it is charged using the charge key, it will make sheep that are sheared drop about 8 wool, rather than 1-3. Unfortunately this will also deal damage to the sheep. It will also rarely clone the sheep. It can also be used near trees, which will drop all leaf blocks in the area.
It can be used to create the Red Katar.
