The Rain Shield is a block added by Random Things. When placed in the world, it will instantly stop the rendering of rain in a 5x5 chunk-sized radius (80x80 blocks) when it rains. It can be disabled by applying a redstone signal.
The Rain Shield's particle activity can indicate its activity. If inactive, it will emit no particles, but if active it will create a pyramid outline out of flames. This block resembles the End Rod, but with a red/orange tint.
