The Quartz Chipset is a component added by BuildCraft. While not usable itself, it is a basic component of the Quartz AND and Quartz OR Gate and a fundamental component of Clock Timer Gates, and thus many BuildCraft automation techniques (see Usage).

Usage[]
Quartz Chipsets can be combined in the Integration Table with any AND and OR Gate to upgrade that Gate into its Clock Timer version. For example a Quartz Chipset and an Iron AND Gate, thus, will become an Clock Timer Iron AND Gate. This process always consumes 25,000 RF.
