The Purification Chamber is a machine added by Mekanism and is a part of the Mekanism ore processing system. It is also used as a component to craft the Basic Purifying Factory and Chemical Injection Chamber.
The Purification Chamber requires energy to operate, which can be supplied by placing a generator or energy storage next to it or through cables. In addition to the machines from Mekanism, the generators, energy storages and cables of all supported power systems (IndustrialCraft 2, Thermal Dynamics, BuildCraft and Tesla) can be used to supply it.
Furthermore, the Purification Chamber requires oxygen or Flint as consumables. The basic consumption is 16 Flint or ~180 mB oxygen per processed unit. If the Speed Upgrade is installed, the consumption rate of Flint to oxygen and energy rises. Installing the Gas Upgrade will reduce Flint or gas consumption. Installing the Energy Upgrade will increase internal energy storage while reducing consumption rate. The following tables show some consumption and storage values for one processed unit.

GUI and Usage[]
Right-clicking on the Chamber will open its GUI.
The red slot is for the input solid material and the product appears in the blue slot.
The green slot and the fill level indicator on the right side are for the energy. Inside the green slot the player can place e.g. a loaded Basic Energy Cube to power the machine, if no external power supply is connected.
The purple slot is for the consumable.
The upper-left button (called "Side Config") opens the configuration of the cube, where the player can set which side should receive energy as well as receive or eject items. If a side is disabled, no cable will connect on that side. If the player holds the Configurator in their hand, the cube displays a color code on the side the player is looking at. Grey means "Off", green means "Input energy", red means "Input item," and blue means "Output item." Shift-right-clicking will change the configuration of the side selected.
The middle-left button (called "Transporter Config") opens a GUI which allows the player to define specific rules for routing items if mechanical pipes are connected.
The lower-left button will change the displayed energy system between Energy Units, Redstone Flux, Minecraft Joules, and Teslas. The change only affects the display; the energy is still available in all forms inside the system.
The upper-right button opens the upgrade GUI. Here the player can add upgrades such as the Energy Upgrade to improve energy efficiency. Other upgrades include the Speed, Gas, and Muffling Upgrades.
The middle-right button configures the access rights for the Purification Chamber.
The lower-right button changes the Chamber's behavior to Redstone. For example, if the option is set to "High", the Purification Chamber will only operate if it receives a Redstone signal.
