The Pile of Red Sand is an item added by Better With Mods. It will be dropped if the player does not mine Red Sand using a shovel or explodes it with TNT. This feature of the mod can be turned off in the Better With Mod's config file. The Piles of Red Sand can also be reconstructed back into Red Sand.
