The Pestle is an item added by Roots 2. It is used with the Mortar to create Petal Dust. This is then used to imbue a spell onto a Staff. It is also used to create the reagents needed to power a Staff. Put the Pestle, Reagent (e.g. Wildroot) and a Powder Pouch into a crafting grid and the reagent will be transferred to the Pouch. It is not yet known how much the Pouch can hold, but it's more than a stack.
