Mekanism provides 4 tiers of systems to process ores and obtain two to five ingots from 1 ore. The complexity of the systems rises with each tier and at the higher tiers various secondary machines are required to produce consumables for the main ore processing line.
The following page shows the layout of these systems as well as some in-game pictures and descriptions. All machines are only mentioned in their basic version—the advanced, elite, and ultimate variants only change the amount produced.
Tier 1[]
The tier 1 system produces 2 ingots from 1 ore and only requires 2 machines and a power supply (e.g., via wind or heat). The scheme below shows the setup. The machines can be placed side by side to directly transfer products into the next machine and save transport pipes.

Tier 2[]
The tier 2 system produces 3 ingots from 1 ore and requires 4 machines and a power supply (e.g., via wind or heat). The scheme below shows the setup. The machines can be placed side by side to directly transfer products into the next machine and save transport pipes.
At this tier the Purification Chamber requires Oxygen or Flint for the conversion process. Since the required amount of Flint is very large, the production and use of oxygen is recommended. For this, the player must build a separate line for the oxygen production. The easiest way is to decompose water via an Electrolytic Separator into Hydrogen and Oxygen. The water can be supplied via Electric Pumps and Basic Mechanical Pipes.

Tier 3[]
The tier 3 system produces 4 ingots from 1 ore and requires 8 machines, one multiblock structure and a power supply (e.g., via wind or heat). The scheme below shows the setup. The machines can be placed side by side to directly transfer products into the next machine and save transport pipes.
As with tier 2, this system also has a Purification Chamber which requires Oxygen or Flint for the conversion process. Since the required amount of flint is very large, the production and use of oxygen is recommended. For this, the player must build a separate line for the oxygen production. The easiest way is to decompose water via an Electrolytic Separator into Hydrogen and Oxygen. The water can be supplied via Electric Pumps and Basic Mechanical Pipes.
In addition, at this tier the Chemical Injection Chamber requires Hydrogen Chloride or Salt for the conversion process. Since the required amount of Salt is very large, the production and use of hydrogen chloride is recommended. This can be produced by a Chemical Infuser which requires Hydrogen and Chlorine. Hydrogen can be taken from the first auxiliary production. Chlorine can be produced from Brine via Thermal Evaporation Plants and Electrolytic Separators.
