The Ore Drilling Plant is a multiblock machine added by GregTech 5 Unofficial, used to mine GregTech ores in a large area with a multiplied output per ore block. It comes with 4 tiers: Ore Drilling Plant which can mine ores in radius of 48 blocks, Ore Drilling Plant II in 64 blocks, Ore Drilling Plant III in 96 blocks, and Ore Drilling Plant IV in 144 blocks.

Construction[]
Build Solid Steel Machine Casings, hatches, buses, and the Controller in a 3x3x1 to form the bottom layer. Above the center of this layer, build a 3x1x1 pillar of casings. On each side of the pillar, place a Steel Frame Box.
The Controller must be placed in the center of one of the sides of the bottom layer of casings. All other components may replace any of the casings on the bottom layer.
For the Ore Drilling Plant II Stable Titanium Machine Casings and Titanium Frame Boxes must be used in place of Solid Steel Machine Casings and Steel Frame Boxes. Ore Drilling Plant III requires Robust Tungstensteel Machine Casings and Tungstensteel Frame Boxes, and Ore Drilling Plant IV requires Mining Osmiridium Casing and Osmiridium Frame Boxes instead.
The minimum tier of the Energy Hatch also varies for each tier of the drill. Ore Drilling Plant requires MV or higher, Ore Drilling Plant II requires HV or higher, Ore Drilling Plant III requires EV or higher, and Ore Drilling Plant IV requires IV or higher.
Usage[]
The Ore Drilling Plant must be provided with Mining Pipes in either the top-right invisible slot of the controller block, or in an Input Bus to function. The drill will dig down, extending its mining pipe until it reaches bedrock, or until it reaches the void beneath a void world. When the mining pipe cannot extend any further, the drill will begin to retrieve pipes and place them in the Output Bus.
While extending mining pipes, the drill mines GregTech 5 ores found in its effective area, and automatically crushes them as if they were processed with the Macerator, then places the output in the Output Bus. The quantity of the output is randomly multiplied by the minimum of 1 and the maximum of 5. The tier of the drill does not affect the quantity.
The drill also requires Drilling Fluid in its Input Hatch to function. For each ore block to be processed, it consumes 2000L of Drilling Fluid.
The consumption rate of energy is determined by the tier of the Energy Hatch. It consumes 48 EU/t for the MV Energy Hatch, and the rate is quadrupled for each subsequent tier of hatches. The processing time required for one ore block is 480 ticks for the MV Energy Hatch, and the required ticks is halved for each subsequent tier of hatches. The tier of the drill also affects the base processing time. The Ore Drilling Plant takes 480 ticks at 48 EU/t (MV), the Ore Drilling Plant II takes 200 ticks at 192 EU/t (HV), the Ore Drilling Plant III takes 40 ticks at 768 EU/t (EV), and the Ore Drilling Plant IV takes 15 ticks at 3072 EU/t (IV).
