The Ominous Woods is a biome added by Biomes O' Plenty. It's a dangerous, dense foresty, purple biome, full of poison water and poisonous bushes. The biome contains Umbran and Dead Trees. The soil consists of normal dirt, and thus usable directly for agriculture, and the precipitation falls as rain. A lot of mushrooms grow in the forest, though. The abundant vegetation is listed in the tables below.

If Forestry is installed, then Forest Hive can be found in the biome.

If Witchery is installed, then the biome is Vampire friendly
