Nethercoal is an item added by Better With Mods. It is commonly used for burning as the player is essentially taking 1600 burn time and turning into 12800. It is also a profitable way to make Torches for when the HCTorches option in the mods config file is enabled, seeing as 1 regular Coal will only make 1 Torch.
