The Multiblock Steam Turbine is a 3x3x4 energy converting structure added by GregTech 6. Steam is input at the front end, and a single rotary power (RU) output is on the back face.

Recipe[]

Construction[]

In addition to the Steam Turbine Main Housing, 35
Dense Walls of the correct material are required to build this structure.

Usage[]

Main article: Steam Turbine (GregTech 6)

Contrary to the tooltip, steam is accepted by all sides of the eight Dense Wall blocks surrounding the Main Housing, in addition to the Main Housing itself (totaling 21 faces). Rotational power (RU) is emitted at unit torque (one packet) from the rear-center block.

Turbine Nominal Steam in Nominal RU out
Magnalium 12288 4096
Trinitanium 24576 8192
Graphene 49152 16384
Vibramantium 393216 131072

Condensate (Distilled Water) can be piped out from any face of the bottom twelve blocks. Unlike usual behavior of pipes with normal sized turbines, the pipe connected to the bottom twelve blocks has to be used in combination with a compact electric pump used as cover. In comparison to single-block Turbines, "95%" of the Distilled water is returned (1 per 180 steam consumed).

Trivia[]

All Multiblock Steam Turbines consume 1.5 times the steam produced by the corresponding Large Boiler.

Even a Vibramantium Steam Turbine can be fed enough steam with existing pipes, and have all the Distilled Water condensate removed, even with a Large Adamantium Boiler directly attached.

As of version 6.10.28, there is no known way to produce Vibranium, and thus only the first three turbines can be built.
