The Mud is a block added by Biomes O' Plenty which can be found in biomes with higher humidity like Bog. There ponds are often surrounded by Mud. The player sinks a little when they enters the blocks but doesn't sink completely like in Quicksand. Furthermore, the player can continue to move slowly. Mud can be degraded with Shovels and the player obtains Mud Balls. With 4 Mud Balls the player can rebuild a Mud Block.
