The Metal Former is a machine added by IndustrialCraft 2 . It is used for creating many various items, including Cables , Empty Cells , Plates , Item Casings , and many other things.
The Metal Former has three modes: Rolling, Cutting, and Extruding. Rolling is mainly for making Plates and Item Casings, while Cutting and Extruding are mainly for making Cables and other items. The mode can be changed by clicking the mode button under the progress bar.
The Metal Former will create one more Copper Cable then the Wire Cutter when used. Also the Metal Former can make HV Cables and Refined Iron Plates , which the Wire Cutter and Forge Hammer cannot make.
