The Materials and You is an item added by Tinkers' Construct that the player will spawn with the first time they appear in a world if Tinkers Construct is installed and enabled. The book is a user-friendly guide towards the different materials introduced by the mod and attempts to explain the unique structures the player can build with the mod, such as the smelter.
The book itself has a grey appearance and does not have the same shape as a usual Minecraft book. It features an Index that can help the player navigate certain topics in the book, such as the different ores the mod introduces or the functionality of structures like the Smelter and Tinker Tank.
