Unlike its counterpart, the [[Logistics Fluid Extractor Pipe|Extractor Pipe]], the Insertion pipe will not pull fluids on its own: they must be pushed into it by the attached inventories. It can, however, transfer fluids much more quickly, limited mainly by how fast fluid is pushed into it.
