The Laser is a block added by Mekanism. It is primarily used in the ignition of a Fusion Reactor, but also digs through blocks, allowing it to be used in mining or farming setups, usually in combination with the Laser Tractor Beam. It does fire damage to mobs in the laser beam.

Fusion Reactors[]
A Fusion Reactor requires a laser input to start. To do this, you must point five lasers at a Laser amplifier. The laser amplifier must point at the Fusion reactor. The laser amplifier combines the rays of the five lasers together.
Other purposes[]
Lasers can be used to break blocks, and do fire damage to mobs.
