Kelp is a plant added by The Future Mod!. It generates naturally on Grass Blocks in clusters. As Kelp does not generate on Gravel, it does not generate in oceans. Each Kelp plant can grow up to 5 blocks tall, though plants of that height are rare. The item form of Kelp cannot be placed on any block.
Kelp can be broken instantly and harvested using any tool or by hand. Kelp also breaks and drops instantly if the block below it is destroyed, moved by a Piston, or if the Kelp plant touches Lava or Water. It cannot be lit using a Flint and Steel.
The Kelp is primarily used to make Dried Kelp via smelting, giving the player 1 experience point in the process.
