The Jerrycan is an item added by Immersive Engineering. It is used to store liquid in item form. Right-clicking it on an accepting machine will move the liquid from the Jerrycan to the machine's tank. Right-clicking it on any other block will pour (place) the liquid into the world.
The Jerrycan cannot be filled by simply right-clicking liquids. It can, however, be filled in a Bottling Machine.
