The Item Extractor chip is an item added by Project Red. It allows the Routed Interface pipe and the Routed Crafting pipe to interact with chests and devices with inventory to extract item (see Usage).

If the mod MineChem is installed, it can be decomposed with the Chemical Decomposer into specific chemical compounds.

Usage[]

The Item Extractor chip allows the Routed Interface pipe and the Routed Crafting pipe to interact with chests and devices with inventory to extract items.

The chip must be configured before being upgraded or installed into a pipe. It is done through the chip's GUI by right-clicking with the chip in the player's hand. By holding the shift key the chip shows additional information about its configuration when viewed from the inventory.

The available configurations are the extract orientation and the filter function.

The Item Extractor chip can be upgraded via the Router Utility (see section Slots), but is not necessary for the first time.

The chip can be placed into the Routed Interface pipe and the Routed Crafting pipe by right-clicking on the pipe with the chip in the hand or on the interface of the respective pipe.

Extract orientation[]

If the Routed Interface pipe or the Routed Crafting pipe are connected with more then one chest, then the extraction orientation can be defined in which chest items are removed. The options are "up (u)", "down (d)", "north (n)", "east (e)", "south (s)", "west (w)" and "default". When "default" is selected the chip will extract items from all the chests next to the pipe.

Filter function[]

The filter function has 5 different options.

  1. The filter can be whitelisted or blacklisted. In the 9 panels on the left 9 item can be specified for the filter. Whitelisted filters only allow the specified items to be extracted, while blacklisted filters prevents the specified items from being extracted.
  2. The filter can review the metadata of the passing objects against the specified objects.
  3. The filter can review the NBT of the passing objects against the specified objects.
  4. The filter can review the Ore Dictionary of the passing objects against the specified objects.
  5. Damage groups

Upgrades[]

The Item Extractor chip has a L- and an S-Slot that can be upgraded with the Router Utility and the respective upgrades.

L-Slot[]

The L-slot specifies the delay between each extraction processes and is calculated with Delay = 100 - Latency. With a higher latency, the pipe extract faster objects from the chests. The latency can be raised with a maximum of 25 LX Upgrades, 34 LY Upgrades, and 40 LZ Upgrades. To upgrade the chip with a LZ Upgrade, it must be installed concurrently with LX and LY upgrades.

R-Slot[]

The R-slot specifies the package size of each extraction process and is calculated with Items = 8 + Latency.

The latency can be raised with a maximum of 8 RX Upgrades, 16 RY Upgrades, and 24 RZ Upgrade. To upgrade the chip with a LZ Upgrade, it must be installed concurrently with LX and LY upgrades.
