The Interdiction Torch is a machine added by ProjectE, based off the Interdiction Torch added by Equivalent Exchange 2.
A Skeleton attempting to fire at a player, but with the Arrows being deflected. The player is standing on the Interdiction Torch.
When placed, the Interdiction Torch casts a light level of 15 and creates a small, invisible, protective bubble that covers an 8-block radius. Hostile mobs and projectiles are physically repelled by the bubble.
Although the Interdiction Torch deflects physical attacks such as punches, arrows and thrown potion bottles, it will not deflect magic spells or rays.
