Infernal Expansion is a mod created by Nekomaster and developed by Infernal Studios, originally for Minecraft versions 1.16 and spanning up to 1.19.2. It aims to expand upon the 1.16 Nether Update, further fleshing out the dimension and its newly introduced biomes with additional mobs, building blocks, foods, potions, structures, weapons, ores and a new biome of its own, the Glowstone Canyon.
Compatibility[]
Compatibility is a stated main goal of the Infernal Expansion developers. This section documents compatibility and incompatibility between Infernal Expansion and other mods.
Autumnity[]

When Chicken's Compat and Autumnity are present, Glowlight Jack o'Lanterns and its large counterpart are added.
Decorative Blocks[]

When Chicken's Compat and Decorative Blocks are installed, the Glowlight Brazier and Chandelier are added.
Enhanced Mushrooms[]

Enhanced Mushrooms adds custom mushroom stems to the Giant Luminous Fungus present in the Glowstone Canyon.
Incendium[]

Incendium overrides the dimensions for the Nether, so modded biomes will not generate there. This is caused by BiomeSource being overwritten. This can be bypassed by deleting the data/minecraft/dimension/the_nether.json file in Incendium's source code.
'Dustrial Decor[]

'Dustrial Decor adds a Large Glow Lantern when Infernal Expansion is present.
Mining Master[]

If Mining Master and Infernal Expansion are both present, the Kinetic Tongue Whip can be crafted in a Gem Forge from a Blindsight Tongue Whip and three Kinetic Opals.
Oh The Biomes You'll Go[]

When the player walks through Boric or Cryptic Fire, the color of the flame on the screen will change to match the fire's color.
In addition, Infernal Expansion mons can spawn in BYG's biomes.
Quark[]

Quark adds Vertical Slabs for blocks added by Infernal Expansion.
In addition, Quark adds support for the Glowstone Canyon's fungi.

Supplementaries adds a Glow Sconce if Infernal Expansion is installed.
TerraForged[]

In Minecraft versions prior to 1.18, TerraForged forces the Nether to only generate Vanilla biomes. This breaks Infernal Expansion, so a custom world type was added that allows modded Nether biomes to generate.
The Endergetic Expansion[]

Infernal Expansion changes the behavior of fire in The Endergetic Expansion, causing players who walk through purple fire[clarify] to have a purple fire effect displayed on their screen.
Vanilla[]
Soul Sand and fire[]

When the player stands in Soul Sand which is on fire, the animation will be blue instead of the normal flame.
Paintings[]
