The Induction Smelter is a machine added by Thermal Expansion 5. It uses a catalyst (such as Sand) to enhance the smelting process. Each recipe has a chance of producing Slag or Rich Slag as a secondary output, each when can be used as a catalyst. It is unable to smelt food items.
The Induction Smelter has two input slots: one for the catalyst and one for the item to be processed.
