The Holding Track is a special type of minecart track from the Railcraft mod. This track is very similar to the Boarding Track, only it will boost a cart no matter the direction it is going, as long as it has a positive redstone signal. When powered by a redstone signal this track will boost a cart in the direction it was originally heading. When unpowered it will bring the cart to a complete stop, no matter which direction it is going.

As of Railcraft version 9.0.0.0 for Minecraft 1.7.2, the Holding Track was merged with the Boarding Track and the Lockdown Track into the Locking Track.
