The Heavy Plated Shield is a shield added by Immersive Engineering. It works similarly to a Shield, though it can be upgraded in the Engineer's Workbench with a Flashbulb, Magnetic Glove, Shock Emitters, and a Shader. There are two modification slots and one Shader slot. It can be used in the hotbar, off-hand slot, or stored in an Engineer's Toolbox. The recipe and some examples of usage can be found in the Engineer's Manual.
