Hardcore Darkness is a mod created by Lumien. It removes the minimum brightness for blocks, meaning that unlit areas become pitch black.
The mod is configurable, allowing one to enable or disable the feature per dimension, as well as choosing between 3 modes:
- 0 (default) - No minimum block light
- 1 - No minimum block light, except from the sky
- 2 - No minimum block light, night sky's brightness depends on the current moon phase
