The Fuel Rod is an item added by NuclearCraft. When filled it is used as fuel for Fission Reactors. There are many different Fuel Rods available, each created by combining Fuel with an Empty Fuel Rod. Fuels are created by combining various isotopes of nuclear materials produced in the Isotope Separator or Decay Hastener. Each fuel has a Duration, an Energy and a Heat output. These need to be considered when constructing a fission reactor and are detailed in the table below.
As of version 2.10g of NuclearCraft, fuel rods are no longer required - the nuclear fuels themselves will be accepted by the fission controller.
