Journal entry Frequency Shifter
This odd acoustic invention changes the frequencies that I am communicating with, allowing me to trade with cats and dogs, while preventing me from communicating with people who are not talking on the same frequency. I must be careful, because ocassionally the shifter will fumble and hurt the ears of the animals.

Upgrade slot Helmet

The Frequency Shifter is a Steam Exosuit Headpiece upgrade from Flaxbeard's Steam Power. When installed, it will allow the player to trade with ocelots and wolves. Additionally, players wearing the Frequency Shifter will only be able to see messages by other players if they are also wearing a Frequncy Shifter.

Each animal can only be traded a few times before they become hostile. This number is randomly set for each animal, between 0 and 7.

Animals have their own trade items and currencies specific to Flaxbeard's Steam Power (see trade items and currency). They will also be given a merchant name (see possible names).
