Mutant Enderman is a neutral mob added by Mutant Creatures. It is 5 blocks high and has 200 (Heart × 100) points of health.

Attacks/ Special Abilities[]

  • Forced look: When a player stares at the Mutant Enderman, it stares back at them, makes a shorter stare sound, grows 2 new arms, and waits for the player to act. It will teleport the player closer to itself when the player stops looking or when the stare sound ends. It inflicts Blindness on the player and starts its attack. It will also attack the player if:
    • It sees the player wearing a Pumpkin
    • When it rains (in survival mode)
    • Occasionally when the player stands too close to it
    • Attacking the Mutant Enderman to retaliate
  • Teleportation: When the Mutant teleports, it emits its "ender-soul", which deals knockback and 4 (HeartHeart) points of damage to all entities around it in a 5-block radius, and possibly inflict the Blindness status effect.
  • Melee attack: The Mutant Enderman strikes the player with one of its arms. An inner arm inflicts 8 (HeartHeartHeartHeart) points of damage and an outer arm will inflict 10 (HeartHeartHeartHeartHeart) points of damage. The outer arms also deal greater knockback than the inner ones.
  • Throwing blocks: The Mutant Enderman can grab two blocks with its telekinetic ability and fling them at the block the player is standing on. Blocks inflict 6 (HeartHeartHeart) points of damage for a direct hit and 2 (Heart)–4 (HeartHeart) points of splash damage.
  • Clone tactic: The Mutant Enderman creates 8 Enderman clones, which look like translucent Endermen, and send them to attack the player. The minions can teleport like a regular Enderman and will deal 1 (Half Heart) point of damage per hit; the clones can be killed with one hit. The Mutant Enderman disguises itself to look like a minion; it is slightly taller than the rest. The disguised Mutant Enderman inflicts 6 (HeartHeartHeart) points of damage to the player and heals itself for 2 (Heart) points per hit. Hitting the Mutant Enderman destroys the minions and changes the Mutant Enderman back to his original form; damage from the Thorns enchantment has the same effect.
  • Tele-smash: The Mutant Enderman grabs the player with its four arms, then teleport you into the air 12 blocks into the air. It inflicts 6 (HeartHeartHeart) points of damage plus any additional fall damage and afflicts the player with Nausea.
  • Scream: The Mutant Enderman can scream to inflict 4 (HeartHeart) points of armor-piercing damage and gives the player status effects including Poison, Weakness, Hunger, and Nausea. Milk is highly recommended to mitigate this attack.

Death[]

When a Mutant Enderman dies, it hovers above the ground, and lets out a final scream, and starts to depixelate. Its Endersoul will also become unstable and starts to deteriorate. It shoot out Endersoul Fragments that explode after a few seconds. Most of the damage and impact from the exploding fragments can be prevented by wearing a pumpkin.

Drops[]

Endersoul Fragments & Endersoul Hand

The Endersoul Hand and Endersoul Fragments

When the Mutant Enderman completely depixelates, it will drop up to 8 Ender Pearls and/or Eyes of Ender. As it disintegrates, its Endersoul Fragments can be preserved shift right-clicking them before they explode, which will render them inert and make them fall to the ground. Right-clicking on them a couple of times will make them follow the player. Dropping (not throwing) an Eye of Ender will consume it and combine all of the Endersoul Fragments into an Endersoul Hand. The amount of uses an Endersoul Hand has depends on the number of Endersoul Fragments used to create it. Each fragment gives 60 charges, up to a maximum of 240. The Endersoul Hand can do three things:

  1. It can attack mobs 4 (HeartHeart) points of damage per hit.
  2. It can grab blocks like a Mutant Enderman and throw them at mobs to do damage.
  3. Right-clicking will link the Endersoul Hand to the block, and shift right-clicking will teleport the player to it. The ability has a range of 128 blocks, does not damage the player, and damages nearby entites. It consumes 4 charges per teleport. There is a chance that entities will be afflicted with blindness when damaged.
